Sunday morning Christmas service. December 24. Who is this Baby in a manger?
A large creative team presented a special service that reflected the essence of a very important event in the life of every Christian. Well-known hymns “Joy to the world!” And “Silent night” were sung, author’s poems and songs were heard, the choirs of different age groups and soloists performed. The whole performance was filled with love and reverence to God. The hearts of listeners were filled with praise and gratitude to the Lord for His wonderful gift - Jesus Christ, who was born into this world to bring salvation.
Senior pastor, Viacheslav Goncharenko, delivered a message titled, “Who is this baby in a manger?”
Who do people think Jesus Christ is? A good person, who did the acts of kindness? A son of men? A teacher, who brought the world a new teaching? So often people think of Jesus as a newborn baby, born in a stable and lying in a manger. However, this kind of knowledge is not enough to receive salvation. So, who Jesus Christ really was? Based on scriptures, Viacheslav showed, that Jesus was before the foundation of the world, and He is the Word of God, and He is God. The visible world began to exist through Him. He is the exact likeness and perfect representation of God the Father. He is the One who upholds the world by the word of His power, and that’s why our world does not fall apart. It is this Christ that needs to be known and believed in to receive salvation and eternal life with God. With such a call, the preacher addressed all those who came to church for the first time, giving them a chance to receive Jesus Christ into their hearts.
Merry Christmas to all our readers and visitors! May the peace and love of God dwell in your homes and hearts!
