Valentina Komyak. The Lord has healed my mother.

Valentina KomyakEach of us meets the Lord in a different way. It would be pretty boring had this event happened the same way for everybody.

When a friend of mine brought me to New Life Church which happened on May 30th, 1999 I realized right there that I was at the right place at the right time. The thing was that a month before I felt that something in my life was about to change. I didn’t know what exactly but I was quite sure that something new and good was about to come.

As soon as I entered the hall of the church I felt the emptiness of my heart that I experience all my life began to disappear. Tears of joy filled my eyes. Right there at the church service I experienced strong cheerful feelings. My heart was rejoicing. “At last I have found what I was looking for so long. I have found God,” I thought. Since that time a new stage of my life began – the way of knowing God, His love, mercy and grace. I have witnessed many miracles over the time I have been living with the Lord. I greatly rejoiced every time He answered my prayers. Now I want to share one of the stories.

It was summer 2004. My mother was 72 at that time. She lived on her own but it made no hindrance for our fellowship and friendship. My mom had a friend whom she visited quite often and helped her around her property. They had been friends for many years and spend much time together. Whenever my mother travelled to see her friend she was out of reach because mobile phones were quite rare in those days. Usually my mom spent three-four days at her friend’s property and as soon as she was back home she gave us a call. But it happened that we didn’t hear from her more than four days and I was sure that she was out of the city. But when my mother’s friend phoned and asked about her I began to worry. Immediately together with my husband we drove to check my mom’s place. Upon our arrival we found the apartment locked from the inside. So we had to break down the lock. What I saw inside hit me like a ton of bricks: my mother was lying on the floor next to the sofa; she looked like she was dead. At last I noticed that she was barely moving. “Alive!” I grasped. We called for an ambulance and took her to the hospital. Mother was partly paralyzed but could speak. An x-ray registered haemorrhage of her brain.

I visited her in hospital, took care of her, didn’t stop praying and anointing her with oil as the Bible says: “… to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well and the Lord will raise them up.” (James 5:14-15). My mother began regaining her health rather quickly. In a week after I anointed her and prayed for her healing new x-ray showed no trace of haemorrhage. The doctors couldn’t believe what they saw, “It’s impossible!” they kept on saying.

Later on my mother shared that when the insult paralyzed her body she was not left on her own; all the time she continued to fellowship with the Lord Who encouraged and comforted her.

Upon discharging from hospital my mother stayed with us for 6 months and then in good health condition she returned back to live on her own. Her arms and legs and all abilities of her body were completely restored. She was even refused of disability status due to being totally healthy. Glory to the Lord! Today my mom is 83 and she is full strength and life energy.

In closing I want to add that with God our human possibilities are unlimited because it’s Him Who keeps our hearts beating. Our life is in His hands. We should learn to fully trust our Savoir, Lord Jesus Christ and embrace His love and forgiveness!
